Caring For You Wool Gabardine Pants

You can find a lot of trousers, suits, overcoats and other garments made in gabardine. What is gabardine? Gabardine is a kind of fabric which is a smooth and resilient fabric, tightly woven and not shiny. Gabardine had been traditionally made of wool, but nowadays, you can find it in polyester or polyester blends.

How do you care for gabardine pants or slacks, or your gabardine suit? Gabardine, being a strong and resilient fabric is said to be easy care. It is resistant to wrinkling, and the wool type is quite lightweight. Throughout the year, you can comfortably wear your gabardine pants or suit with not so much trouble.

If you intent to shop around for gabardine pants, should you opt for polyester or wool? Polyester being a synthetic fabric is not particularly breathable. So wearing a pair of wool gabardine pants is apt to be more comfortable than wearing polyester gabardine pants, especially in certain weather. But when it comes to fabric care, polyester is easier than wool.

Clothing manufacturers tend to err on the cautious side when it comes to gabardine fabric care. For instance, in terms of wool gabardine care, the warning in the tag often says “Dry Clean Only”. But then again, dry cleaning can be very expensive, and you can only look for an alternative if you are on a budget. To keep you wool gabardine pants or garment clean, you can opt for hand washing with a wool- friendly detergent, such as Woolite.

You can even machine wash a wool gabardine garment, so long as you keep the machine in a delicate or gentle cycle. Often, washing machines indicate which cycle is suitable for washing wool. And there’s a garment bag for added protection and you can also turn the garment inside out. But see to it that you’re using a wool friendly detergent.  If it so happens that your fabric has a stain, then by all means, it’s reasonable to pay for dry cleaning.

And don’t ever put wool gabardine in the dryer. Wool takes a long time to dry and if you hurry by machine drying it, you would end up destroying the fabric.

It is of course easier to care for polyester gabardine. You can machine wash the fabric, and either in a cool or warm cycle. But be certain that your garment gets a cool water- rinse afterwards. You can also machine dry polyester gabardine, unless it’s a stretch fabric or a polyester blend in which case it’s better to line dry. Unlike wool, polyester dries faster.

Manufacturers often indicate that polyester gabardine is for “Dry Cleaning Only” in the same way as wool should be. If dry cleaning is too expensive for you, you can hand wash the fabric, especially if you are wary about machine washing it.

And if you are planning to buy wool gabardine pants or suit, expect to shell out a decent amount money. You can uncover bargains but wool gabardine pants for less than $50 are a rare find.

Looking Like a Million On a Shoestring Budget

Sandy Dumont asked:

Having a great-looking wardrobe doesn't necessarily require spending a fortune. Here are a few principles for looking great when money IS an object:

(1) Buy quality rather than quantity. And please take note, this does not necessarily translate to, "buy expensive, not cheap." Without a doubt, quality fabrics fall better, wear better and flatter the figure more. It is better to have one perfectly-fitting skirt in a superb fabric that spans several seasons (lightweight wool, for example) than a dozen ill-fitting skirts in an array of colors. Black goes with everything, and no one will remember that you wore the same skirt for five days running, because you wore it with a different jacket and accessory each day. Start with one great skirt! My wardrobe is based on a few black skirts and pants that go with an array of jackets and tops in colors that look good on me. Expensive skirts and pants are made with superb fabrics and cut wonderfully, so they make my figure look better. Even if I don't need them yet, I am always on the look for linen, wool gabardine or wool crepe designer skirts and pants at the sales or in consignment shops. You can never have too many. Some of mine are a size larger, so they are great for dining-out comfort as well as travel. Some have loops for belts, so they look good with open jackets; while others are slim and beltless to accommodate snug-fitting jackets.

(2) Wear accessories! This is key. Well-dressed women and jet-setting fashion plates always accessorize their garments. Look through fashion magazines and catalogs, and go to fashion shows for ideas and inspiration. Most fashion coordinators have picked up tricks from designers both here and abroad, and you will see the results on the runway. Earrings are important fashion accessories. More than anything else, the right earring will give you a polished or finished look. Earrings should be somewhat bold to look fashionable. Clip earrings, for example, often look too conservative. Belts are also wonderful accessories. They should have distinctive-looking buckles and be made of leather, not plastic.

(3) Educate yourself so you can shop intelligently. Find out which colors suit you. This will ultimately save you both time and money with future purchases. Color actually forms the foundation for all garments. One of the biggest mistakes made is trying to achieve harmony by matching the superficial appearance with colors: blondes in pastels, redheads in rust, orange, etc. Don't be afraid of bold colors, high-fashion designers are not! And do think contrast. If you have a moss green suit, team it up with a deep magenta blouse or scarf. Add a cobalt blue, French blue or peacock blue blouse or scarf to your brown suit, rather than a beige one. "Safe" looks that are perfectly matched often end up looking boring, no matter who made them or how much they cost. In addition, know your figure so well that you know how to camouflage every flaw. Ill-fitting clothes and those that accent figure flaws undermine more than your figure. They undermine your credibility. Anyone who really had a million to spend on clothes would make certain every single garment fit like a glove and flattered to the Nth degree, now wouldn't she?

(4) Shop the sales and check out consignment shops. If you are shopping the sales, it is a good idea to do a bit of homework beforehand. Find the shops that suit your tastes and preferences and peruse their racks every two weeks or so. That way you won't waste time trekking all over town at sale time. You will go straight to "your" shops. Consignment shops are a great place to find designer clothes at shoestring prices. Every city has at least one consignment shop that carries designer clothes. Check them all out. You are certain to find one that has everything your heart could desire. Most of them are in the Yellow Pages, with the exception of the CHKD clothing shops and the Discovery Shop at Hilltop East, run by the Cancer Society.

(5) Make a list of the things that are missing from your closet and keep it with you in your purse. If you don't have a great black skirt, at least one jacket in a bold color to wear with it, put them on your list. If you have a suit in a "safe" color, put "scarf or blouse in a bold color" (name the color so you won't be sidetracked...or chicken out!) on your list. Then, the next time you run across a fabulous sale or consignment shop, you will be prepared. Prepared to look great!

Where to Find Discount Designer Clothing

Catherine Olivia asked:

I love buying clothes, I always have. And, like most women I'm happiest when I know that I'm getting a great deal on my favorite designer. It took me a while to figure out how to get great discount designer clothes. There really isn't any secret to it, it's just knowing where and when to shop.

I always like to buy classic clothing styles. That way I know that the lovely Camel Hair jacket I buy today I'll still be wearing five years from now. It also means that wool A line skirt and wool pants will be around for a long time too. Not only does it save me money at the time of initial purchase when I look for discount designer clothing it saves me money over the years and allows me a bit more in my pocket book to be able to purchase trendy up to the minute pieces to add a pop to my wardrobe.

What my secret about saving money on clothing is that I go on line and search the high end fashion sites such as Net-A-Porter and eLuxury. Believe it or not they have fantastic end of season sales all throughout the year. These are great sales, with saving up to 40% or more on designer fashions from high end designers like Roberto Cavalli, Bottega Veneta, Michael Kors, Todd Lynn, Vera Wang, Donna Karan and Emilio Pucci, just to name a few. You'll be able to find fashions, shoes, handbags and accessories at unbelievable savings.

eLuxury is another great high end fashion site that has great end of season sales. You'll find fabulous buys like a Maison Martin Margiela Convertible dress at 50% off. A Versace Linen Coat marked down from $2100 to $630. Interested in discount shoes? You'll find high end designer shoes on sale at eLuxury.com. Dolce & Gabanna, Roberto Cavalli, Marc Jacobs and Derek Lam are offered at savings up to 50%.

Don't forget to check end of season bargains on womens clothing at more reasonably priced fashion sellers such as Igigi, Orvis, Talbots, Monterey Bay, Catherine's and Fashion Bug. Don't forget sales at Nordstrom and Macy's. Not every piece of clothing in your closet has to have a designer tag attached to it. I've found that the beautiful black gabardine pants I purchased at Talbot's go beautifully with my Celine Stretch Wool Cropped Jacket, that I got for a steal.

Every woman can afford to dress beautifully and in high end designer fashions if she knows where to shop.

Vintage Gabardine – Ribbed For Extra Pleasure

James Applegath asked:

Traditionally gabardine is a fabric made of wool that is woven into a patten of diagonal parallel ribs. This method gives it a smooth feeling on one side and a textured surface on the other. It sounds sexy, but get your mind out of the gutter- it was invented in the late 19th century well before sex even existed.

Best known for its use in the 1940s and '50s it was infused with rayon or other synthetics, based in bright colors and used to create shirts, pants, overcoats and dresses. But these days it's the vintage gabardine jackets that have collectors buzzing. The jackets are still quite commonly found on eBay but if you want to give yourself the gift of gab, hold out for one that is two-toned, has patterns, is reversible or any combination of the three.

The atomic pattern is very sought after, as are argyle, cars, animals... pretty much any design under the rainbow except rainbows. And because the material had two appealing sides - both to the touch and eye - the most interesting pieces are reversible in order to maximize the fabric's split personality. Some jackets feature a different colored interior using the opposite side of the fabric. Think two jackets in one: one casual morning matte, and another for flashy night-time sheen. But don't expect to get a deal - it may be one article of clothing, but you'll probably pay double for these features, as they can fetch up to $1,500 on eBay. Vintage shirts that contain Gabardine are also highly sought after by dealers and fashionistas alike.

The Solution for Men’s Pants That Won’t Stay Up

Copyright (c) 2008 Janine Giorgenti

No Butts About It!

If you have this problem, you are not alone. Six out of ten men suffer with the "lose my pants syndrome." Basically, their bellies are larger than their rear ends, making it almost impossible to keep their pants up where they belong. One man describes himself as the "ice cream cone-shaped Ralph Kramden from The Honeymooners," wide in the middle, smaller in the hips, even smaller in the thighs... Hmm...Sound familiar?

Where Have All the Bottoms Gone?

As the waistline increases, the bottom appears smaller. Age and gravity also have a cruel, ravaging effect on once-plump derrieres. When the hips are smaller than the waist, there is nothing to anchor the pants, so they slowly work their way south. Men try to accommodate this by ratcheting up their belts. Some even resort to suspenders.

Men who have trouble keeping their pants up fear sitting, squatting, and moving about too freely. Their mind is always on keeping their pants up, as you see them walking around, constantly pulling and lifting, hoisting and tugging, in a vain effort to defy gravity. This is not only uncomfortable and unnerving, but gives a sloppy appearance.

Stock Men's Pants Miss the Mark

Off-the-rack men's dress pants are not designed with this build in mind. Manufacturers mistakenly miss the mark and cut for the so-called "ideal standard men's shape." Traditional men's pants are cut with a seven-inch ratio between the waist and seat. In other words, a size 36 pants would have a 363 waist and a 433 hip. This leaves many men who find pants that fit their waist with the "droopy drawers, parachute syndrome." Or if they find a pair of pants that fits their rear, they can't zip their fly. There has to be a better way.

The "Bottom Line" Solution

The real solution is to have pants custom made to fit and flatter your shape. Buying pants made to your waist and inseam measurements is not enough to address your fit challenges. Your pants should be designed to fit your waist, hip and thigh, as well as inseam and outseam measurements.

What Fabric Is Best?

Casual pants should be made of a good quality cotton twill, chino or poplin. Many pants today have 3% Lycra for added comfort and stretch. For dress slacks, choose high-quality wool fabrics such as gabardines or sturdy file weaves. Look for a high yarn count such as Super 100's to Super 130's so that they hold their crease, shape and wrinkle less. Wool blends are okay if they are made of quality yarns.

What Should the Style of the Pants Be?

The style should be a simple, flat front or single-pleated to eliminate bulk. The pants should not be tight, but should be a trim cut, especially in the thigh area, continuing down to the knee.

There should be a rubberized strip in the waistband for friction and to keep your shirt from pulling out of your pants. Suspender buttons should be included for braces (suspenders), if desired. Cuffs can be optional, as well as preferred pocket details.

So now you know! There is no need to struggle with dress pants that won't stay in place and just don't fit your frame. Have your pants custom designed for your build and they will look nicer on you, stay in place and feel much more comfortable.

“…You Don’T Look Like One…” So How Do You Look? Shlomit Tamir Ben-Ari – Image Consultant

                        \"...You don\'t look like one...\"

                            So  how  do  you  look?

                        ------------------------------------

                              Shlomit Tamir Ben-Ari   -  Image consultant  *

A communication gap is caused when others perceive us in a different way  we meant  them to.

The fact is, that the first impression is the strongest one. Even unconsciously, people will look for a proof  to verify and justify their gut feeling.

So, since we don\'t get a second chance to make the first impression, and since different occasions demand different looks, we better be aware of the various styles, learn what they project, and put this message in action.

Before we decide on  the image  we want to convey, it is important to insist on three factors:

1. The outfit should be appropriate to the time and place :

For example, a mini skirt that reveals toned legs, should be saved for a social occasion.

A Polo shirt should be worn during vacation time.

2. The style should be consistent and repetitive :

You wouldn\'t  want  to project  authority and  reliability on one day, and  appear dishelved

   on the next.

3. The different pieces of the outfit will be of the same style :

A watch with a rubber band will clash with the suit.

A plastic pen will look out of place in  a  dress-shirt\'s pocket.

.

We\'re talking about four main styles. Each one of them conveys a  unique  and different  message:

The classic style, the sporty style,  the dramatic,  and the romantic style.

The classic Style

The appearance.

When we watch people who are dressed in the classic style, we immediately have a scenario in our head regarding their personality.

They look mature, sincere, respectable, trust worthy, authoritative, self control, powerful, and thinkers. The might look as belonging to the high society, well educated, financially well off, and in a senior-position in the corporate.

The classic style people might also appear to be formal, conservative, keeping distance, non- adventurous.

In order to project this image, here are some suggestions:

The wardrobe.

Silhouette -   should be straight and in place. Not puffed, not floaty.  Covering the vast area of the body.

Fabrics -  cotton, blended cotton, wool, ( cool wool for summer ), blended wool,                                                                                              gabardine,   silk, ( a women\'s blouse ).

Texture -   should be smooth.

Pattern -   solid, pine stripe, herringbone, very subtle geometric design.

Colors -   black, white, gray, navy blue, pine green, taupe ( gray brown ), burgundy,

dark  brown, ivory, beige, icy pink, icy violet, and other icy colors.

Suites -  from the above options, not too tight,  not too loose.

Jacket -   lightly padded shoulders, small waist line, not too high arm holes, single, double or no vent.

Trousers -   should be pleated, creased, cuffed or not.

Shirt -   Should be in natural colors. Long sleeves, standard collar, standard or button  down collar. One pocket or none.

Blouse -   avoid any see through fabrics, avoid any decolte\', can be tucked in or out.

Dress/Skirt -   should fall straight down, not shorter than the knees, not longer than the calf.

Tie -   made of silk, solid, stripe, dot, paisley, foulard ( small geometrical repetitive design).

Socks -   solid, or with a small ankle design.

Hosiery -   winter and summer.

Belt -   high quality leather, solid color, smooth texture, coordinate with shoes or pants.

Man Shoes -   lace up.

Woman Shoes -   flat or up to 5 centimeter heel.

Accessories:

Watch -   good quality, preferably non digital.

Gloves -   thin leather.

Handkerchief -   cotton or linen.

Pen -   metal, not plastic,  designed

Jewelry -   silver, gold, pearls, minimal design.

Briefcase -  square lines, small combination locks, good quality leather.

Bag -   firm, solid design.

Hair -   neat and tidy, away from the face.

Make Up -   minimal: light eyes shadow, eyeliner, soft lipstick.

All regarding men’s suits

There is no denying that an ill-fitting suit can distort one's physical personality and cause a damaging effect in social circles. So getting the right suit material and having it professionally tailored is of paramount importance. People planning to buy suits must first obtain their correct physical requirements. Any reputable retailer will provide this service and furnish you with the sizes pertaining to neck, shoulders, sleeves, chest, waist and inseam. Once you know these six different sizes, you can comfortably start shopping for men's suits.

No suit, however well tailored, is going to look good unless it is of the right fabric. Most people will agree that the right material is worsted wool which include gabardines or mid-weight corded wools. The 'Super 100' where the yarn has been heavily twisted more than the usual 60-80 twist wools, is indeed very popular these days. Worsted wool fabric and its variants will spring back without wrinkling after it is squeezed. Just remember that worsted wool suits will make you look stately and they are typically good year-round regardless where you live.

A key factor in any suit is the waistline of your trousers. The waistline measurement is critical as both undersize and oversize can create problems. You must feel comfortable with the waistline measurement and you should be able to stick two fingers into the waist while wearing the trousers. As far as pleats are concerned, it is purely a question of personal preference. However, fashion designers say pleats are better for those with protruding stomach and not needed for those who are slim.

Another important point to note is the perfect length of your trousers which should a little beyond your ankle. To be precise, your pants should reach your shoes and have a slight break. Though cuffed or non-cuffed is a matter of your choice, experts say that cuff-less makes you look taller if you are of short-stature and cuffs looks better on someone with long legs. Again your sleeve length should be absolutely perfect lest others get the impression you had borrowed someone else's suit. Please know that if the sleeve covers your shirt cuff it is deemed to be too long. It should just reach the base of your thumb, revealing a half inch to an inch of your shirt cuff.

In the final analysis, while wearing the suit you should be able to stretch and bend comfortably. Make sure that you are able to freely move your arms. Also try to sit and stand a couple of times to satisfy you do not experience any discomfort with such movement.

Mens Suits The next question that arises is how many suits are really necessary. The bare minimum should be three suits as even if you have one at the laundry, two are available in rotation. It is appropriate that your first suit should be in business blue color and single-breasted. The second suit may be in solid charcoal or oxford gray color and also single-breasted. These two suits will be the two premier suits to be worn for all important occasions including business interview, conferences and all other important gatherings. As regards a third suit, it can be of either a mid-blue or pale gray color. You could also opt for a heavier Flannel type or lighter tropical wool. All of these are acceptable options for a third or fourth suit which will be worn for less important occasions. Always bear in mind that richness in fabrics and perfect tailoring are the keys to good suits.

Men?s suits – History and Types

Most men are scared to wear suits. They perceive it as the most strenuous and painful thing. But a man can obtain a manly look only with the help of suits. Some men prefer designer suits and some tailor made. Suits can be worn for casual and official occasions. But purchasing the appropriate one is a bit tedious. When the final product is achieved then the joy is incomparable. A perfect suit induces confidence and self esteem in a man. Men’s suits great history is as follows:

History
Men have sported their suits very well throughout history. They gained respect through this magic attire. They have most importantly earned the admiration of women of all ages. It was originated around some time in the 17th century. It was a time when men dressed up with more ornaments than women. Actually a transition was made when Europeans of the 19th century sought after for a more comfortable substitute. This was the end of the bulky attire that existed until then.

Business Suits

During economic disturbance men preferred to wear suits to show off their wealth and extravagance. At the time of Great Depression, the suits gave confidence and the much needed comfort to tackle the doubts of economic volatility. There was optimism in the air about their future by wearing suits. By 21st century suits were made compulsory as formal attire to work. Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers were the top most prestigious firms that posed such a rule. They used the suits to send out clear messages regarding their competence and professionalism.

Types

In general men’s suits consist of a pair of pants and jacket. Both are commonly made up of the same fabric. Also vests are made from the same fabric as the pants and jacket. There are two piece and three piece suits. Suiting is a huge industry. It is a costly one too. There are various fabrics in which men’s suit are made. They are rayon, silk, cotton, polyester, seersucker, gabardine, linen, merino wool and worsted wool.

Suits can be differentiated by bespoke and ready-to-wear. Bespoke one is custom made by a tailor who stitches the suit according to the measurement, fabric and style you prefer. They are more costly yet worth the extra spend. They demand months of labor and tedious work from the tailor. Ready-to-wear or off the rack suits are generally branded clothing. They are easy on the pocked when compared to tailor made suits. They are chosen in a hurry. But they can make a perfect fit for you if you get them altered as you fancy.

Men’s Party Wear

An ill-fitting and badly tailored suit can be identified even from a distance and has a damaging effect on your image. So getting the right fit in a suit and having it properly tailored is rather important for a partygoer. This is more so if you have any concern about how you wish to impress you peers and the guests around. The first thing to do is to get properly measured your neck, shoulders, sleeves, chest, waist and inseam. Once you know your size you are free to do the shopping for part suits. You must then pay attention to the choice of fabrics.

Unless you have a closet full of suits and want something different, worsted wool is the best bet for a night party. These include gabardines or mid-weight corded wools. You will come across suits that say “Super 100” which are very popular --all this means is that the yarn has been twisted more often than the usual 60-80 twist wools. Either way they are considered to be of bearable weight. These fabrics have a tendency to return to original shape without wrinkling even after it is squeezed. Just remember that worsted wools wear well and are strikingly good immaterial whatever the type of the party.

Make absolutely sure that the waistline of your trousers is comfortable and that you can stick two fingers into the waist after wearing them. As far as pleats are concerned, although it is a question of a personal preference, pleats are recommended for those with larger tummies and not those who are lean. This is because pleated trousers if you help cover up your tummy and pleats make a lean guy look even skinnier

Nothing makes you look clumsier at a party than a pile of fabric at your ankle. Your pants should reach your shoes and have a slight break. Cuffed or not is your personal choice, but remember that without cuffs makes you look taller if you happen to be a little shorter and cuffs looks better on someone with long legs. Make sure your sleeve length is perfect or otherwise you may convey the impression you borrowed someone else's suit. If the sleeve covers your shirt cuff, it is too long. It should just reach the base of your thumb, making you look very classy.

The jacket should fit easily across your stomach without betraying much protrusion. The traditional American cut suit with two buttons may not be the right party wear. Suit jackets which have three and four buttons are the appropriate ones to wear for parties. Some two-button jackets offer a fresh twist with higher button placement similar to the three-button style. This is more flattering and should serve well as a party suit. Whether your preferred style is classic or modern, always opt for fitted waistlines that enhance the shape of your body.

The one last advice, though not the least in importance - you should be able to stretch and bend easily in your party suit. Make sure that you that you have free movement of your arms and elbows. You must feel absolutely comfortable while sitting in a chair and getting up. Dark shades of brown and gray including black are great for late evening and night parties.

Black Skirts: Must- Have for Women Plus Sizes

The must-haves in the women plus sizes closet is any clothes in black; whether dress, pants, shorts, or skirts; and for casual to formal wears with varying tops, a black skirt is worth keeping.

Black skirts plus sizes should be owned by any full-figured woman. The black skirt is a wardrobe that you can pick easily when you want to dress up but can’t find one that really works. The black-colored skirt works well with any color, styles, or prints of the top. It can be a pencil skirt or an A-line, but it shouldn’t have too much flare as too flared skirts are good for light to bright colors. It must make you feel comfortable and fits perfectly with the full-figure, not skimpy nor too loose.

A good length for black skirt so far would be an inch below the knee and should be free of ornament or fuss. Don’t worry about the simplicity of plain black skirt as the color itself creates a seductive and flattering tone. It must be lined, and should be made from good quality fabric that will last for several years. Think wool gabardine or linen. For a ready-to-wear-in-any-occasion type of black skirts, choose matte or non-shimmering fabric. This skirt can be dressed up easily with a frilly blouse and a cameo at your neck. It is appropriate for work with any buttoned blouse in fashionable women plus sizes. You can get away with wearing your loafers with it on the weekend, and for more formal occasions, it will match your best special occasion tops.

Try Out For The Best Men’s Suit

You cannot deny the fact that a poorly stitched suit can misrepresent an individual's image and grounds a negative impression in social circles. So in order to get the exact fabric and having it proficiently tailored is of vital importance.

Any trustworthy vendor will offer its service and deliver you with the fittings pertaining to shoulders, chest, neck, sleeves, waist and inseam. And once you come to know these six different fittings of yours you can happily start shopping. Suits which are tailored by professionals will represent good and stunning look only if stitched with a rich quality of fabric. Some people have the opinion that the accurate fabric is bested wool which embrace gabardines or standard weight corded wools.

The 'Super 100' is the popular choice as it is the best fabric among the 60-80 twist wools. The reason is in the later type the wool has been deeply twisted which is more than the common twist in 60-80 wools. Worsted wool material and its alternates will spiral back with no crease left once it is squeezed. Just keep in mind that bested wool suits are naturally excellent year-round not considering where you live and it will give long lasting-looks.

The main thing that one must keep in mind for any men's suit is the waistline of trousers. The measurement of waistline is important as both undersize and oversize will give you problems. You have to feel relaxed with its measurement and you are able to place your two fingers when you are trying the trousers. Pleats are merely a question of individual preference. Yet, designers suggest that the pleats are superior for those with overhang stomach and it is not requiring for those men's who are slim and fit. Another key tip to note down is the exact length of pants which is supposed to be a slighter afar of your ankle. Meaning which your trousers must reach shoes and should have a little cut.

The suit might either be cuffed or non-cuffed which completely depends on individual choice. But designers suggest that cuffs look better on long legs where as non cuffs goes well with the short legs. But keep in mind that the sleeves length must be perfect or else the people might think you are wearing a rented or borrowed coat. Make sure that if the sleeves are considered too long when it covers the cuff of your shirt. The length should just touch at the base of thumb.

Finally when you are trying out the men's suit see to it that you are comfortable and goes well with your body line. Ensure that you are able to move your arms freely, sit and stand relaxed without any discomforts. Keep several movements until you find out any discomfort in your movement.

Guidelines for selecting the Perfect Men’s Suit

All fashion designer and fashion specialist will give any guy this suggestion when it comes to what they should have in their closet. They will say that each man desires to own at least one nice suit no matter what they do or a living. You not at all recognize when you find it necessary to wear one such as a wedding, memorial service or a job or job interview that requires business dress. You are always taken a little more seriously if you are wearing a pleasant suit.

Unluckily, I’m sure you have noticed but the greater part of the suits you see men trying just plain look unpleasant and it isn’t necessary. In addition many guys out there either don’t care or, more likely, don’t know how properly to wear a suit.

A nice, suitably wearing suit looks good everywhere from restaurants, trains, to dinner parties. It is just a complete outfit that can and will never fail you. Here are a few common rules you should always go after when considering buying a new suit.

Decide a fabric - You absolutely, really cannot go wrong with purchasing a worsted wools suit. I’m also chatting about gabardines and mid-weight corded wools as well. As you are shopping around the multiple stores looking for suits, you’re going to cross over ones that are labeled “Super 100”. This only means the fiber was twisted more often than the usual 60-80 twist wools but it is measured to be a mid-weight.

How the Trousers fit perfectly - The waistline of your pants need to be comfortable. The trial to see how well they fit is to stick 2 fingers into the waist while you're trying them. If you are able to do this, then they fit correctly. As far as pleated trousers are concerned, it depends on nature of your body.  If you are a little fat in the stomach area, then you can get away with trying pleats since it will help cover it up. If you are slim, then stay away from them. Pleats will only make you show skinnier.

Waist jacket - The suit’s jacket needs to fit easily across your belly in order to show professional. A traditional American cut suit known for its signature 2 buttons and a basis for numerous years is now being replaced by fitted suit jackets with 3 & 4 buttons. Shop around for fitted waistlines that improve the shape of your body if even you prefer either fashion, stylish, classic or modern.

Perfect Fit of the suit - A fine fitting suit must allow you to stretch and bend without any problems and have a free range of movement for your arms. To be sure you have this, bring your arms out directly in front of you. The most vital thing to remember is you must always be comfortable no matter what.
